What is ROPA report?
A ROPA report, or Record of Processing Activities, is an important document required for GDPR compliance. It records what personal data an organization collects, how it is processed, why it’s needed, and who can access it. Organizations have to keep ROPA report to ensure transparency and responsible management of personal data.
Start by identifying company processes that involve personal data. Select relevant assets (such as systems or files) and connect them to the departments or areas where data is being used.
Fill the information about your processes required by data protection regulations – just answer ready-made questions about each data process, including what type of data is collected, why it’s needed, and how long it will be kept.
Once the questionnaire is complete, select “Generate report” to create a draft version of your ROPA. Compliance Aspekte organizes all the information into a structured report, clearly listing data categories, processing purposes, security measures, and any third-party processors.
